REPRODUCTION OF «WILL» CONCEPT IN GERMAN TRANSLATION OF TARAS SHEVCHENKO'S POETIC WORKS

Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying linguistic means of objectivization of the conceptual content for the concept "will" in the context of Taras Shevchenko's poetic works and to the analysis of their reproduction peculiarities in German translation. It is noted that the linguists pay attention to the problem of the concepts functioning as of the elements of the art picture of the world that enables knowledge of socio-cultural peculiarities of our society and promotes the detection of its linguocultural characteristics. In this regard, in the scientific research the meaning of "concept" is clarified and it is noted that the information content of the text concept and its information structure are caused by the structure of the concept itself. The core of the text concept is a concept surrounded by logical and figurative-sensual, verbal and non-verbal knowledge about this concept which correspond to the collective human experience. The study outlines the basic mechanisms of cognitive process. The “Will” by Taras Shevchenko is closely connected with the concepts of heroism, honor, conscience, personal and national dignity, the ideal of national existence, and, therefore, this concept covers a wide spectrum of national, universal human spiritual values. In scientific research we analyze lexemes that exploit the concept "will" by means of art expressiveness in the linguostylistic and linguocognitive aspects, where the ways of their reproduction in the German-language translations, the analyses of the lexical and morphological level of the concept "will" and the methods of its reproduction in the German language are explored. It focuses on morphological transformations such as morphological rearrangement, substitution, extraction or addition, and also on complex morphological transformation. The content of the concept "will" in poetic works of T. Shevchenko is described with the help of the subject-centred and actional frames. The attention is focused on the fact that the frame contains the intralingual and extralingual knowledge about phenomena that have a complex multipart structure, and often recurring situations that take place in a person's life.
