Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to elucidate the perspective, modern linguistic paradigms, the morphological features of prefix verbs in the process of word formation in English. It is noted that the morphological mode of creation is one of the key sources of replenishment in English prefixed verbs. The essence effect of the prefix on its semantic meaning is revealed, where the main focus is on the intrinsic meaning of the prefix, its role in the generation of different meanings of the prefix verb. A systematic analysis of the potential prefix verb word-formation in the plane of review in modern paradigms of prefix creation of English verbs has been made. An attempt was made to investigate the prefix verb in static and dynamic terms, and to trace it both the specific and general tendencies inherent in the prefix verb. It is suggested that a significant number of productive prefixes, both borrowed and specific, used to form new terms, are due to the significant development of terminology of modern English, the desire to indicate and describe new phenomena and processes that occur within the professional language. The article shows that prefixed verbs are constantly emerging with the rapid development of scientific and technological progress. It is concluded that the morphological method of creation is one of the key ways of replenishing the prefix verbs of modern English professional terminology. The applied methodology is based on the basic principles of the theory of phonological oppositions, which expresses the categorical requirements of opposing identical objects on their differential features, as well as on the basis in the theory of “system and structure”. From the informative point of view, the prefixed verbs of modern English convey the greatest meaning. Conceptual analysis of factual material revealed a systematic approach to the development of prefixal verbs and their implicit. The prospect of further study is seen in the study of prefixal verbs in both cognitive and paradigmatic aspects.
