MENTAL STYLISTIC MODEL «SOUTENU» AND ITS LEXICOGRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION IN MODERN FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the new approach of the studying of stylistic marked lexicon – cognitive. The main concept of the given article is that the stylistic meaning of the word from the point of view of cognitive stylistics and cognitive lexicography is considered as the reflect of the cognitive concept’s features which are based on the associative and figurative perception of facts and phenomena of the surrounding reality. Stylistic meanings verbalize the valuation senses of the concept and help to reveal the particularities of the conceptualization of the reality by the native speakers.

During the research, it is defined that the lexical and stylistic system of the French language as the other language has the mental organization and can be described in the guise of cognitive structures. This proposition permitted to suggest the idea of the existence of mental models that are correlated with the certain sets of the lexical and stylistic marked units. In its turn the mental models contain the representations about the use of the language in the dependence od the situation of discourse and they are formed on the base of the stylistic strata of the lexicon. One of these mental models is the mental stylistic model «soutenu». It represents the information of the universal use of the word in the oral and written communication with the pronounced positive connotation. The mechanism of its organization is relied on the constants and variables that are objectified by the invariant and variant lexical and stylistic items. The analysis of the lexicographical sources prove that in the beginning of the XXI century take place the considerable augmentation of the lexemes marked «soutenu» (from 44 items in 1967 till 187 items in 2019). The development of the mental stylistic model «soutenu» is the result of the conceptual reconsideration of the realities of the surrounding reality that could not be reflected on the state on the French language.
