Access and Preservation
OPEN ACCESS POLICY
The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution International (CC BY) license.
All papers are posted on the journal’s website free of charge straight after the publication of the issue. They are also stored and are accessible in print in major national libraries of Ukraine. The full-text access to the scientific papers published in the periodical is provided on the official website of “New Philology” in “Issues” section (http://sites.znu.edu.ua/nova_filologia/97.eng.html).
The Journal practices a policy of immediate open access to published content, supporting the principles of the free dissemination of scientific information (Open Access) and the global exchange of knowledge for the sake of general social progress.
By “open access” we mean free public access on the Internet that allows anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, do a search, or link to the full text of the papers, scan them for indexing, use them for any other legitimate purposes, without financial, legal or technical barriers, except of those related to the user’s personal access to the Internet itself.
The only restriction on the reproduction and distribution of materials is the observance of copyright in this area, which implies the author’s ability to control the integrity of his work, the proper recognition of his rights and citation.
Every user of the Internet has free and unrestricted access to full texts of the articles published in the journal. After posting, all materials are immediately available online (without long wait). Тhe papers published in the Journal “New philology”, after the publication of the next issue, are placed in a PDF file format on the journal’s website. All the visitors of the site have free access to the full texts of the materials published in the journal. Thanks to this, authors have an opportunity to submit their own research to the scientific community for consideration.
ARCHIVING AND LONG-TERM PRESERVATION POLICY
The journal “New Philology” guarantees long-term storage, accessibility and continuity of access to published materials in the open access, in compliance with international standards of digital archiving.
To ensure the preservation of scientific content, the journal:
- Archives all published issues in the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (repository irbis-nbuv.gov.ua);
- Places publications in institutional repositories of universities with which the authors collaborate.
The journal uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports open access and meets modern requirements for long-term archiving.
All published articles are available on the journal's website on a permanent basis without time limits.
All articles have a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which provides a stable and long-term reference.
